PRO•LINE POOLS plays like most sports office pools! ALC posts approximately 10 to 16 games per pool, and you predict the winning team for each game by checking boxes: V for Visitor or H for Home win. Each pool entry costs $5. The player(s) with the most correct selections wins or shares the pool's prize. ALC plans to offer pools for hockey and American football seasons, so you may be able to play more than one pool per week.

You can purchase a PRO•LINE POOLS ticket online from this website through PlaySphere, or by visiting your lottery retailer. Please see below for information pertaining to each purchase method.

How to Play PRO•LINE POOLS at Retail:

Ask your lottery retailer to print the PRO•LINE POOLS Pools List from the Lottery Computer, and grab a pencil and selection slip from the selection slip holder.

To complete the selection slip:

Once you have completed the selection slip, give it to your lottery retailer and pay $5 to receive a PRO•LINE POOLS ticket.

How to Play PRO•LINE POOLS in PlaySphere:

To play PRO•LINE POOLS online you'll need to sign up for PlaySphere. You must register for an account and have your information verified to ensure that you live in Atlantic Canada and that you are 19 years of age or older. After you have been verified, you can access your PlaySphere account.

Before playing online, you will need to add funds to your account. This can be done via debit card (Bank of Nova Scotia, Royal Bank, and TD Bank), credit card (MasterCard and Visa only), electronic funds transfer (EFT) or WebCash, which can be purchased from your local ALC retailer. Once your account has been funded, all you have to do is click the Sport Games logo and then the PRO•LINE POOLS logo on the games page.

PRO•LINE POOLS consists of one or more pools, with each pool containing a number of games.

1. Scroll through the pools and decide which pool(s) you would like to wager on.
2. For each pool you wish to wager on, make your picks by clicking the box beside the team you think will win each game in that pool. You must make a selection for each game in the pool.
3. Click Continue to verify your selections.
4. Click Yes, I'm Sure to make your purchase.

Wager Purchasing and Status

Once you confirm your wager, it will remain in a "Pending" status until it displays as "Completed" in your Transaction Detail (accessible from your Account Statement). Your wager is not considered to be an official ticket until the status is "Completed".

Message Centre: When you login to your account, be sure to check out your Message Center for wins, updates and other important information. To keep your Message Centre current, when you logout of your account, the current messages will be cleared and next time you login new messages, if any, will be visible.

A printable version of your wager is available from your Account Statement.

To Win:

A winning selection is determined by having, based on the official results issued by ALC, the greatest number of exact predictions among all valid selections registered for a given pool.

By way of example, if, for a given pool, a selection is made up of 16 exact predictions out of a possible 16, it is a winning selection. If there is no such selection, a selection made up of the greatest number of exact predictions less than 16 is a winning selection.

In the event of a tie, or game cancellation, the result will be a "PUSH."  This means that both the home and visiting team will be declared the winner.

Prizes:

The player(s) within the highest prize tier will win or share the majority of pool's prize. The size of the pool is determined by the number of tickets sold for that specific pool you're playing in. ALC sets aside a prize pool corresponding to 60% of the sales registered for that pool at which point ALC will determine how much each prize tier receives.

How will the Prize Pool be split?
The total prize pool for PRO•LINE POOLS will continue to be 60% of total monies wagered on a particular PRO•LINE POOLS card. 70% of the designated prize money will be applied to the first place tier and 30% will be applied to the second place tier.
